You Don't Have To Be Perfect To Do What You Want!
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 06:00AM Newsflash! You don't have to be perfect to do what you want.
Wow! Really?
It's true... You don't have to wait until you, your apartment, your closet, your underpants, your hair or your body is perfect before you do what you want to do.
In your mind it's like this. When I do X then I can have/do/experience Y. I know I've said this before and I'm certain I will say it again but it bears repeating.
You don't have to be perfect to do what you want!
What does this mean?
It means you don't have to do all these things:
- lose weight
- gain weight
- get in shape
- cut your hair
- clear all your clutter
- paint the house
- have the perfect job
- finish that degree
- shave your legs
- pluck your eyebrows
- dye your hair
- get a new outfit
- have a business card
- have a website
- buy a new computer
- sell your old computer
- get a better camera
- clean your room
- clean your stove
- learn how to cook
- run 5k
- write a book
- get married
- have a baby
- address every fear
- have it ALL figured out
Before you can do these things:
- start dating
- start your business
- go for a walk
- take painting lessons
- take dancing lessons
- start writing
- walk a labyrinth
- have a dinner party
- start a blog
- make the call
- book the appointment
- go to the party
- sing at the concert
- go to mexico
- write a book
- give a workshop
- make the video
- record the song
- say the toast
- ask them to dance
- invite him/her over
- proclaim that you are a ______________________
- TAKE THAT LEAP!
You don't have to be perfect to do what you want to do. You just have to do it.
Yup...
Now would be good.
Go on... I'll be here waiting when you get back and I want to hear all about it...
Take care,
Cecilia

I am not perfect that is for sure. But it was illuminating to see that I should take painting lessons (maybe even enjoy myself) before I started improving the house.
Take those painting lessons! The fun/enjoyable stuff is so important to do before, during and after dealing with your home. When you are having fun in the world, you bring that sparkling energy into everything you do in your home. It also makes it a little easier to let go when there's something to live for. :)
