I don't know if it's daylight savings, a last minute trip to help my mom on Friday or the fact that I woke up on Monday at 4am to find a big chunk of my bathroom ceiling on the floor, but the past couple of days have been a bit of a sh*t show. If I didn't know any better I would think mercury was retrograde.
As a result my living space is a disaster zone. The couch, my armchair, my desk and the dining room table is an explosion of clean clothes, dirty clothes, new clothes, papers, magazines, books, receipts, dirty dishes and an obscene number of kleenexes (my allergies have been going crazy these days. ?!?)
What am I going to do about the disaster? I'm going to SPRINT!
This is a fantastic tool if you have some clutter that you need to plow through really quickly.
(Although it looks like it, don't worry I won't bite your face, I'm just excited.)
Here's the basic anatomy of a clutter clearing sprint:
Choose some clutter to clear. Make it easy and clear.
Put on some fun upbeat music or use my playlist below.
For the length of your chosen song(s) I want you to clear clutter, fold clothes, tidy up your living room, do dishes, etc. AS FAST AS YOU F'ING CAN!!!
Celebrate with a dance. :)
A few minutes ago I used a three songs SPRINT to tidy up my living room disaster zone and IT WAS AMAZING! I feel energized and my living space feels SO much better. <3
Lizzo gave me Juice while I cleared off the dining room table. Carly Rae Jepson encouraged me to call her while I cleared off the couch, emptied my backpack and cleared off my beloved chair, Chairssandra. I felt sexy and fun with Meghan Trainor's Me Too while I turned the chaos volume on my desk way down and I celebrated by shaking it off with Taylor Swift. :)
Yay! Fun and productive, it doesn't get better than that. <3
Seriously, try it RIGHT NOW. Just start with one song, I promise that it will get you moving.
Once you're done let me know how it goes, I'd love to hear you can comment below.
Yoohoo! With all the time I saved cleaning up my living room quickly I'm going to go for a walk to buy myself flowers in the beautiful funshine. (I meant to write sunshine but I'm kind of loving this typo. )
Sending you so much love,
Cecilia
